Chief Joseph Buenrostro Scholarship The Chief Joseph Buenrostro Scholarship in the amount of $1,500.00 is available to any child of a full-time police officer serving in DuPage County who is pursuing college studies in any field during the 2023-2024 school year. Applications are available at the DuPage County Chiefs of Police website, http://www.dupagechiefs.org/ or by requesting one through email from Filomena Lehman at [email protected]. The application and all supporting materials must be returned by Friday, May 6, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. to be considered. The Chief Joseph Buenrostro Scholarships are awarded in memory of the former Chief of the West Chicago Police Department. Chief Buenrostro was a strong supporter of education and youth programs. He served as president of the DuPage County Chiefs of Police Association in 1967. Applicants must maintain full-time student status for the full term of the school year. |
